GEN-PRO, GPNR SERIES: These generators are a selected group of heavy duty GEN-PRO generators, that have "Speed-Matic" modification. This is an automatic engine idle control, holding engine speed to an approximate idle of 2400 - 2600 RPM. When electric power is demanded (a contractor uses a drill, saw, screw gun, or some other type contractor tool) the engine speed automatically increases to full 3600 RPM and full 120 or 240 volts. When power demand ends, the engine will automatically return to idle speed condition. These gen-sets are popular with contractor and rental uses, because the idle speed, saves fuel and reduces noise output, while waiting to be in full use by operator. They are not recommended for general use or standby applications. |
