What Happens When a Generator Size Changes at the Last Minute?
The dilemma was the customer had a last-minute size change to the generator for this project. Gillette reacted immediately going to work to meet the project’s deadline of having the generator on site in 4 weeks.
There were several factors that again made Gillette the right choice.
01
On Site in 4 Weeks
Customer needed the generator on site in 4 weeks. Gillette was able to step up and deliver.
02
Four Factory-Installed Breakers in a Tight Space
Another requirement was the need for 4 separate breakers to be installed to accommodate the various sub-feed panels for the building’s emergency backup needs. Gillette met that challenge by providing an engineered solution to ensure all 4 breakers were installed at the factory which is a very challenging endeavor due to the fabrication involved to ensure proper form, fit and function in a very tight space, where most vendors pass on these types of installations, Gillette’s dedicated team of engineers and production staff are more than willing to take on these types of challenging builds and delivery deadlines with no hesitation.
03
A Formal Acceptance Test Protocol at Every Site
Every installation is accepted under a Michigan State Police ATP: serial number capture, in-field testing, alarm verification, and signal confirmation back to the network operations center. No site is handed over until the state’s own representatives sign off.
