MAGNETIC CIRCUIT BREAKERS AND ENCLOSURES

All circuit breakers for all 1800 RPM, 4-Pole generator sets are considered optional equipment at additional prices. Following is a brief explanation of each circuit breaker category:

These molded case magnetic circuit breakers are available, loose for installation and wiring by the installer. An additional price allows factory installation of circuit breaker and enclosure which can be used on housed set or an open set, to be installed inside a weather protected building. All NEMA-3R (Raintite) enclosures and some of the larger amp size standard NEMA-1 enclosures, must be sent loose, for installer installation, because (1) ordering NEMA-3R indicates it will be installed outside, (2) some of these large amp size units are just too big to be installed inside enclosure, or on base of open gen-set see notes 1,2, and 4 of following table.

The enclosure is shown as a NEMA-3R, having a rotary handle. NEMA-1 enclosure has just the circuit breaker tumbler switch exposed.

NOTE 1 : ALL CB1 CIRCUIT BREAKERS ARE INSTALLED IN CIRCUIT BREAKER ENCLOSURES AND FURNISHED LOOSE IN THEIR ORIGINAL CARDBOARD CARTONS. ENCLOSURE ARE IN A NEMA-1 STYLE FOR INSTALLATION AND WIRING BY LICENSED ELECTRICIAN, INSIDE A PROTECTED BUILDING OR WEATHER ENCLOSURE.

NOTE 2 : ALL CB3R BREAKERS ARE INSTALLED IN NEMA-3R, RAINTITE ENCLOSURES ARE FURNISHED LOOSE, FOR INSTALLATION AND WIRING BY LICENSED ELECTRICIAN, OUTSIDE AND CLOSE TO THE WEATHER HOUSED GENERATOR OR BUILDING UTILITY ENTRANCE EQUIPMENT.

NOTE 3 : ALL GENERATORS CAN HAVE FACTORY INSTALLED CIRCUIT BREAKER KITS INSTALLED AND WIRED ON GEN-SET BASE IN BOTH OPEN AND WEATHER HOUSED GEN-SETS FOR AN ADDITIONALPRICE.

STANDARDS : ALL CIRCUIT BREAKERS AND ENCLOSURES ARE CERTIFIED TO UL STANDARDS. ALL BREAKERS USE VOLTAGE SUFFIX CODES : "-1-1" FOR 120/240 VOLTS 1PH; "-3-2" FOR 120/208 VOLTS 3 PH; "-3-3" FOR 120/240 VOLTS 3 PH; AND "-3-4" FOR 277/480 VOLTS 3 PH.
